Students will learn about different plays.
Students will study various Thanksgiving customs, history and culture.
Students will work in small groups of 4 to develop a short 3 minute Thanksgiving play.
Students will design props, story line, and everything needed for their play.
Students will practice play for fluency and to be able to motify it as they go along.
Students will present the play to their peers and parents at our Thanksgiving day celebration.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Students will research building of props and design using measurement
Students will research various Thanksgiving cultures, customs throughout the world and throughout history
Follow-Up
Students will watch videos and then we will do a 'Academy Award" and present awards for best director, best actor, etc.
Materials: Flip Video, Point and Shoot, CDs and DVDs, Hard Drives, Camera Bags, Flash/USB Drives, Tripods, Batteries, Reading, Writing, Autism, Early Learning, Speech and Language, Hardware Devices
