Southern Columbia Middle School
Class Information:
Room Number: Computer Lab 21
Students per Class: 27
Class Description:
I teach grades 5-7 computer technology. I also teach a school publications course to 8th grade students whose main goal is to create and sell the middle school yearbook. I love teaching this class because the students are so creative and really take a passion in creating their book.
Position:
Middle School Computer Technology
Needs:
Our school could really use a digital camera lab. That would allow me to easily teach the photography unit in my school publications course. Other teachers would benefit from this lab for the tons of great technology lessons our district is implementing into their classrooms!

I'm the mother of a wonderful 2 year old son and will celebrate my 6 year wedding anniversary with my husband this fall.

Activities:
My favorite things to do on the computer include creating various projects. I love web page design, flash animation, and Adobe Photoshop.
Favorite Quotes:
"I'm not young enough to think I know everything"- OscarWilde
Employment History:
This is my fifth year at Southern Columbia Middle School. Before that I was an elementary computer teacher in Benton, PA and Minersville, PA.
Why Do I Teach?:
To me, teaching is a passion and it keeps me young. Every day presents new challenges and has me thinking on my feet. It helps that the students I teach are so engaging and such wonderful learners. I love what I do.
