All students are capable of success, though we must be willing to invest in the requisite tools in order for them to be competitive in the 21st century, as well as properly prepared for higher education and today's workforce.

About Me:
I am a graduate of the Purdue University School of Science and the lead science teacher of North Middle School where we service approximately 700 students. I teach 5 science courses which are all heterogeneous groupings, inclusive of all children who originate from varied learning experiences and backgrounds. I teach my students that they will all learn to work as "scientists do" and not read about what scientists do. This hands-on approach has assisted in enhancing the pupils interest in STEM education.

Why Do I Teach?:
I deem it important to allow young people to have a hands-on experience in STEM and gain a fundamental understanding of how the phenomena of the universe works that is the beauty of their world that surrounds them. My hope is that more young people will choose and be prepared for careers in STEM related fields after their experience in my 7th grade classroom.
